Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
The Church Doesn’t Exist for Itself
The good news of Jesus was never meant to stay inside a church building. Jesus sends His people into the world. To our neighbors, our schools, our workplaces, our community, and ultimately to the ends of the earth.
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. - Acts 1:8
At Hope Church, we believe following Jesus should turn our attention outward. We want to be the kind of church that notices people. The hurting. The lonely. The overlooked. The person who doesn’t look like us, vote like us, come from the same country as us, or believe everything we believe. Because the love of Jesus has never been reserved for people who fit a certain mold. We believe every person matters to God. And mission isn’t something reserved for pastors or people who move across the world. It happens every day. In conversations, friendships, acts of generosity, meals around a table, caring for a neighbor, serving our community, and simply being willing to share the hope we’ve found in Jesus.
Sometimes mission takes us across the street. Sometimes it takes us across the world.
That’s why Hope partners with missionaries and organizations doing incredible work around the world. But it’s also why we care so deeply about South Haven and the people God has placed right in front of us.
We don’t want to be a church that simply gathers on Sundays. We gather so that we can go. We want to love generously, serve courageously, welcome people freely, and point people toward Jesus wherever God has placed us. Because the church doesn’t just have a mission. The church is mission.

GRACE GUATEMALA
Guatemala
Guatemala Relief And Compassion Effort’s mission house is located about 35 miles west of Guatemala City, near the towns of El Tejar and Chimaltenango. This mission house serves as a base for short-term mission teams who come to serve the surrounding communities in many ways. Teams help build houses and medical clinics, distribute food and clothing, run Vacation Bible Schools, and support Pastors’ Conferences. Through these efforts, the mission house enables hands-on ministry that meets both physical and spiritual needs in the area.

Making a Difference One Child at a Time
The elementary years are a crucial time for children as they build values, self-esteem, and important academic skills. Having support, encouragement, and one-on-one attention can make all the difference.
Through the Kids Hope USA mentoring program, students are matched with a caring, consistent adult mentor who meets with them once a week. These transformative relationships empower children to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Kids Hope USA connects Christian churches with local elementary and middle schools to provide this proven, school-based mentoring program. Our volunteers receive intentional training and ongoing support, ensuring they can make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.
At Hope Church, Joy Seiler is our champion for Kids Hope. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, reach out and discover how you can help change a child’s story!
